Maintenance Planner

Our client, a JSE listed global organization that specializes in the manufacturing of chemicals, is seeking to employ a Maintenance Planner with an engineering background to join their production facility based in Jacobs, KZN.

​

Overview of job description:

• Identify maintenance requirements for machinery and developing the appropriate maintenance plan.

• Follow up on the maintenance plan to ensure completion.

• Ensure optimal availability and performance of the plant and equipment reliability.

• Develop, review and update all maintenance schedules for the plant including facilities maintenance.

• Optimize the engineering program including the annual shutdown.

• Planning and scheduling of resources required for execution and ensuring proper execution of all planned maintenance work.

• Liaise with the production team with regards to work status and critical work.

• Compile  KPI reports 

• Control and maintain SHE and risk schedules and documentation

• ​

Minimum requirements:

• Matric

• Relevant tertiary qualification

• Candidate must come from an engineering type background

• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is essential

• 3+ years of experience in the same/similar role

• Competent in using SAP

• ​
