Our client based in the Island View area is recruiting for a HR/Payroll Administrator, to carry out the administration and execution of the payroll and ensure that HR statistics are updated accordingly.

​

Carry out the administration of the monthly payroll

Ensure that the monthly input is correctly done

Ensures that overtime is properly authorized and exported to VIP

Net pay reports are updated and sent to the relevant parties

Carries out all administration related to payroll

Investigates and resolves queries relating to payroll

Ensure monthly on the job training is calculated and recorded accordingly

Ensures that forms received from employees are properly completed

Liaises with medical aid, pension and provident funds and other benefit providers as required

Assist employees with the completion of medical aid, pension and provident fund documents

Prepares reports and spreadsheets as required

Ensure Pay deadlines are met

Prepares monthly statistics for the HRM 

Participate in employee liaison and other activities of the HR Department 

Ensures that all necessary employment policies are communicated as required in terms of new engagements

Ensures that employees are kept informed of new/changed fund rules

Accepts employee queries in respect of benefits and offers practical assistance as required within the skill and authority level of the position

Attends regional medical aid fund meetings

Assists with induction as required

Carries out special projects as and when required within the skill and authority levels of this position

Carries out other duties as required at or below the skill level of this position

Assisting with Empowerdex queries and submission of documents

Matric

Relevant HR/Payroll qualification

3 -5 years HR Generalist experience

3-5 years Payroll Experience

MS office

VIP

​

Must be able to data capture fast and accurately.

Must be have good interpersonal skills and able to interact constructively with individuals of all occupational levels

Knowledge of the administration and execution of payroll

Must have a full understanding of shift work, call out and overtime implications for payroll

Able to use VIP at an advanced level

Able to use the timekeeping system

Demonstrate knowledge of and produce computer spreadsheets using base functions

Knowledge of biometric system and timekeeping records

Must be able to prepare monthly reports using various programmes
